PPG/Johnstones/
Leyland

PPG is the parent company for the the brands Johnstones Decorating Centre, Johnstones Trade and Leyland (as well as PPG). Which all feature overlapping content but also home to some unique campaigns I got to design as seen below.

nodding deccies

To address the challenge Johnstone’s faced with their popular bobbleheads not translating well to video, we created two animated puppet characters, ‘Craig’ and ‘Alan’. Designed in collaboration with a colleague and brought to life in After Effects, these characters allowed us to convey messages more effectively by placing them in engaging, animated scenarios.

Filming paint dry

Often hosting events big and small, whether it was the Painter of the Year awards or research days in their HQ office. There was always something new and exciting to film, edit and deliver to them.

As part of PPG internal communication, I was tasked to animate a series of videos around their growth strategy and how it would be achieved. Unlike the other work done for them, being solely 2D animated allowed me a lot of freedom of exploration.

trade lives

This series of videos I had the pleasure of editing focuses around generational tradesman and their experiences. These conversations chatting about how things have changed in their trade over time.
